Provider evaluation
Best stablecoin platforms for exchange houses: what to compare
This guide is for a business running an exchange counter or managing branches that needs infrastructure to receive USDT and deliver COP. A retail platform, a desk buying assets and a branch operations tool serve different tasks. We evaluate that business workflow, without naming a universal winner or treating a feature list as proof of capability.
The short answer
Choose a platform that can demonstrate your whole workflow: receiving the correct asset and network, understood control of funds, a net quote, peso delivery and reconciliation. First remove candidates that miss essential requirements; then compare price and convenience.
Four options for an initial shortlist
A non-exhaustive editorial selection reviewed on October 21, 2026, of business stablecoin or payment offerings relevant to investigating a Colombian workflow. Alphabetical order, without scores or paid placement. We reviewed each provider’s public documentation; we did not test its services or verify acceptance of a particular exchange house. Zabio publishes this guide and appears in the selection.
Bitso Business
- What it publishes
- Presents APIs for crypto liquidity and local payments in Latin America, with documentation and a sandbox.
- Case to evaluate
- An integration comparing liquidity and payments through an API.
- What to confirm
- Your Colombian entity’s eligibility, COP route, asset and network, custody, limits and total cost. Its page cautions that availability depends on product and customer.
BlindPay
- What it publishes
- Documents an API with quotes, local bank payouts, states and signed notifications, including a Colombian route.
- Case to evaluate
- A technical team building its own payment workflow.
- What to confirm
- Acceptance of an exchange-house model, enabled route and network, wallet responsibilities, commercial terms and production requirements. An API needs your own integration and operation.
Mural Pay
- What it publishes
- Presents accounts, wallets, conversion and payments, includes COP in its offering and documents a Colombian pilot flow.
- Case to evaluate
- A business comparing accounts and payment orchestration with an integration.
- What to confirm
- Product and funds model available to your entity, USDT/COP routes, network enablement, limits and pricing. Its sandbox documentation describes simulated operations, not production results.
Zabio FX
- What it publishes
- Our offering specifically addresses exchange houses and presents USDT receipt and operational tools.
- Case to evaluate
- A house evaluating a counter workflow and business administration.
- What to confirm
- Enabled networks and assets, permissions, recovery, COP delivery route, onboarding and a quote for your case. Our publisher affiliation does not replace validation or establish superiority.
1. Write requirements a provider can demonstrate
Describe a routine operation and a demanding one: asset, network, amount, frequency, hours, beneficiary and delivery method. Specify the people and branches involved. Ask each candidate to walk through those exact cases with a quote and a sample record containing no personal information.
Separate essentials from conveniences. An unsupported source network or disallowed destination can exclude a candidate despite an attractive interface. Issuer support for a protocol does not establish platform support: check both layers.
2. Understand control of funds and permissions
Request a simple funds-flow map. Identify the wallets and accounts involved, who can authorize movements and which services the flow depends on. Ask what happens when an employee leaves, loses access or attempts to change a beneficiary.
Go beyond custodial or non-custodial labels. Review actual permissions, recovery, provider dependencies and how to export records when changing services. Request platform and issuer terms as separate documents; a link to reserves does not explain all these issues.

3. Test the operation and an exception before scaling
Set acceptance criteria first: delivered net amount versus quote, evidence of both legs, permissions, reconciliation and incident resolution. Run a limited pilot after the necessary internal approvals. Record observed times and their conditions without extending them into a guarantee.
Include a safe simulation of an expired quote, rejected payment or pending review. Ask who responds, through which channel and how duplicate payments are prevented after an unknown status. Select on written evidence and pilot findings, and schedule a review when your volume or the service changes.
Compare the same case across providers
Scroll the table to see all columns.
| Criterion | Evidence to request | Reason to investigate |
|---|---|---|
| Coverage | Confirmed asset, network, destination and limits | “We accept crypto” without detail |
| Control | Permissions, recovery and funds-flow map | Unclear authority to move funds |
| Economics | Net COP and all charges for the same case | Only an advertised commission |
| Operations | Roles, branches and record exports | Reconciliation dependent on chats |
| Exceptions | States, owner and claims procedure | Promises without a process |
Verification checklist
- All candidates evaluated the same asset, network, amount and destination.
- Every essential requirement has an answer and evidence.
- Permissions, recovery and funds-model dependencies are understood.
- The full quote, terms and exception process are available.
- The pilot produced reconcilable records and assigned findings.
Risks and limits
- A sales demonstration may omit the limits, hours or reviews affecting your flow.
- A visible price may exclude charges or reconciliation costs.
- Automated checks do not replace internal approval or assessment of your entity’s obligations.
- Concentrating funds and operations with one provider calls for reviewing continuity, record access and an orderly exit.
Frequently asked questions
Which platform is best for every exchange house?
There is no universal answer. The choice depends on workflow, control of funds, coverage, total cost, checks and reconciliation. This Zabio-published guide is not an independent provider ranking.
Is accepting USDT enough?
No. Confirm the network and token, amounts, beneficiaries, peso delivery, review conditions and closing evidence for your entire case.
Should I choose the lowest commission?
Compare final net delivery and operational cost using equivalent quotes. Before comparing price, verify essential requirements and make sure you understand the funds model.
What should I bring to a demonstration?
A routine case, a demanding case, role and reconciliation requirements, and an exception scenario. Ask every candidate for evidence of the same journey.

How we prepare and review this guide
Zabio publishes this content to help evaluate stablecoin, exchange-house and OTC-desk workflows. Zabio offers services in this field and has a commercial interest in provider selection.
- Sources with a specific scope
- We link primary documentation for the claims it supports. An issuer source identifies an asset or protocol; it does not establish that a provider accepts it. Commercial documentation describes a published offering, rather than independently tested availability.
- Examples and methods separate from real outcomes
- Numerical examples labeled illustrative use educational assumptions. Checklists and calculations are proposed ways to evaluate a workflow; they are not fees, customer results or execution guarantees.
- Comparisons with visible limits
- Provider selections explain their criteria, review date and what was not verified. They do not give Zabio an independent ranking or replace testing a specific workflow and reviewing its terms.
- Dates and corrections
- The review date identifies a substantive content review. Coverage, prices, terms and service status may change and must be confirmed before transacting. An operational guide does not determine an entity’s legal, tax or accounting obligations.
